Copper Enamel Stick Earrings with rosegold filled hooks.

Handmade, copper enamelled dangly earrings. These earrings are a gorgeous addition to any outfit! Dress them up or down. They are beautiful with all hair colours and lengths. Front is colourful enamel and back is pure, uncoated copper. Every enamelled piece is completely one of a kind! Small imperfections give the piece character and handcrafted charm.

Comes with copper care directions, a business card and a special impregnated polishing cloth. Copper will gain character and oxidize over time due to contact with dirt, oils and moisture. Tarnish can easily be removed by dipping the piece in soy sauce or ketchup for a minute or so. Afterwards rinse and dry thoroughly. Polishing cloths provided will remove tarnish as well.

Process:
This piece is sawn out of copper sheet by hand. The piece is filed, drilled, shaped and sanded. I then sift a fine powdered glass substance called enamel onto the surface. It is slowly fired at a very high temperature layer by layer to melt and fuse the coloured glass to the copper. I use a small enamelling kiln which my Grandma used for copper enamelling in the 70s. Every enamelled piece is one of a kind!
